Lecaron House is the name given to an architectural assemblage of two adjoining houses built by Jacques-Émile Lecaron in 1974. Situated in Clamart, outside Paris, the build is also known as the “house behind the mirror”: a sweeping, spaceship-like facade encircles the rooms, reflecting back the Meudon forest. The street it sits on has become something of a showcase or playground for Lecaron. One by one, nine traditional houses have been transformed by the architect into unusual commissions, creating a collection of startling originality at the edge of the woods.
